Our Mission
Our mission at WISE is to transform the foundational systems of education, learning, and positive human development to enhance the well-being of children, families, and communities.
We will accomplish this mission by fostering transdisciplinary and translational research among a diverse group of faculty, students, and community members to pioneer effective programs and practices.
Specifically, our approach will unite researchers, practitioners, and innovators at the crossroads of learning and prevention sciences, and computer and data sciences, to collaboratively envision and create a more just and equitable world.
WISE faculty will forge strong partnerships with communities to craft customized solutions that cater to the distinct needs of marginalized and underserved students, their families, and the professionals that support them.
We extend an open invitation to individuals from the public and private sectors to join us in empowering children, families, and communities to unlock their full potential and lead fulfilling lives in Boston and beyond.

Our Vision
A world where the branches of the educational and social services communities work together to sustain, create, and implement the evidence-based best practices that help individual learners and society flourish.
